Today I was awakened by a loud ringing phone with none other than Gary Smith on the other line. Gary is my step-father and one of the men who helped to put on Barry & Gary’s Ride for the Kids “Poker Run”. The reason he called was to ask me to spend my day following hundreds of bikers from town to town and take photos of the ride. It was a scorcher today by the way! The ride was fun though and I was able to meet a variety of great people. Aside from the downpour towards the end of the run (My mother benefited from riding with me from Pana to Decatur and avoiding getting soaked…lol) the day was great!
